Overview

Develop a procedural understanding and perform routine Accounting Department responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Reconciliations of various accounts, including Federal Reserve, correspondent banks, official checks, and various general ledger and internal accounts.
  • Accounts payable processing and coding.
  • Compile monthly reports.
  • Balance and post depreciation and expense accruals.
  • Assist with vendor management.
  • Assist in areas of the department as needed.
  • Ensure files are kept in order.
  • Represent and promote NDBT in a positive manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Two years or more of relevant work experience in accounting or finance, experience in banking preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Understanding of ethical accounting practices and adherence to compliance regulations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess financial data and identify discrepancies.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
